Dr. Ronald Carroll, MD

Dr. Carroll is focused on peoples health and well being using Conventional Medicine, Alternative Medicine, and Integrative lifestyle measures. He has been practicing Family Medicine since 1981 when he returned to Payette to work with his father at Healthcare With Heart.

Lisa Phillips, FNP-C

Lisa Phillips has been a part of the Healthcare With Heart family for the last 20 years. Along with family medicine she is trained in Hormone Replacement therapy, Integrative Medicine to include mental, spiritual and physical medicine in a Rural Healthcare With Heart setting.

Ben Barbot, FNP-C, DNP

Ben Barbot received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University in 2013. He went on to graduate from Idaho State University in 2016 with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice focused on rural family practice.

Jo Buhr Cote, DNP

Dr. Jo Buhr Cote joined Healthcare with Heart in 2019. She has been practicing evidence-based rural  family medicine in the Payette area since 2002.

Jo enjoys helping people become healthier. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oregon Health Sciences University, and a doctorate from Boise State University. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau in 2000. Jo is a member of Oregon Nurses Association, Nurse Practitioners of Oregon, Nurse Practitioners of Idaho, and the American Nurses Association. She serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students. Jo is an adjunct professor for the nurse practitioner program at Northwest Nazarene University. She lives with her family in rural Malheur County and enjoys puttering around at home. Jo is a volunteer for the Ontario Feral Cat Project. She is an active outdoorswoman and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and rafting

Crystal Flores-alamo, MSN, FNP-C

Crystal received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University in 2021 and a Master’s in Nursing with a specialty in family practice from Northwest Nazarene University in 2023. She comes to Healthcare with Heart as a new provider but with several years' experience as a nurse and over a decade working in the healthcare field. Her passion is rural primary care. Outside of providing care, she is an animal lover and an active wife and mother to 4 children who love the outdoors. My philosophy for practice as a nurse practitioner is an extension of my original motives to work in the medical field—to provide a holistic sense of understanding and care of the individual. My goal is to provide this care with the value of a healthy individual to their family and community in mind. With each patient I hope to truly serve them in way that improves their life and positively impacts our community. In practice, my approach is to form relationships with my patients that allow me to understand them wholly and utilize my knowledge of medicine to maintain or improve their health with great respect to their autonomy.

Rene alamo, pmhnp-bc

Rene achieved his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Boise State in 2019 and a Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University August of 2023. He has over 20 years' experience in the medical field, starting out as a CNA then went on to be an LPN then RN before moving on to his Bachelor's and Masters'. Outside of work he is married with four children, enjoys outdoor recreational activities as well as staying home with the family and their menagerie of animals. I believe that attaining mental health is possible for all. I strive to provide my clients with the tools and support they need to achieve optimal mental healing and stability to lead fulfilling lives of purpose. I take a holistic approach to mental health care, focusing not only on treating symptoms but also on addressing the underlying causes of the mental health issues. I use evidence-based practices, working in collaboration with my clients to develop personalized treatment plan to best suit their needs..
